Dr. Anik Sarkar

Dr. Anik Sarkar is a trained Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI), Oesophagaogastric, Bariatric and General surgeon. He is also an approved robotic surgeon and a recognised endoscopist.

Having completed medical school and surgical training in Australia, he  underwent further subspecialty UGI training in Australia and in the UK. Dr. Sarkar’s focus is in oesophago-gastric surgery (both cancer and non-cancer surgery), robotic surgery, bariatric surgery, advanced general laparoscopic surgery, and endoscopy.

 

An enthusiastic surgeon and compassionate surgeon, Dr Sarkar listens to his patients and prioritises their needs and care, always striving to deliver them positive outcomes.  Dr Sarkar is a consultant surgeon working at The Wollongong Public and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospitals. He also operates at Wollongong, Shellharbour and Nowra Private hospitals.
